Dr. Stephanie Demarco graduated from the department of Fine Arts at the University of Ottawa, continued her education with additional schooling in psychology, completed a medical degree in Europe and graduated from residency at the University of Western Ontario.  Always having had an interest in Women’s studies, Dr. Demarco completed her enhanced skills fellowship training in Obstetrics and Women’s Health.  She was an adjunct professor at Western University and participated on the Maternity Safety committee at LHSC hospital in London. She is a newcomer to the Niagara region. Outside her profession, Dr. Demarco finds expression in the very humbling experience of travel through which she learns more about various cultures.  Whenever and wherever possible, Dr. Demarco gains great satisfaction from indulging in art as well as sharing time with friends and loved ones.

Dr. Adriana Cappelletti was born and grew up in St. Catharines. She graduated from McMaster’s Bachelor of Health Sciences Honours program, obtained her medical degree at Western University and completed Family Medicine residency in Niagara through McMaster. She then completed an enhanced skills fellowship in Low-Risk Obstetrics with the University of Toronto.

Dr. Cappelletti is an Assistant Clinical Professor (Adjunct) at McMaster University. She has prior research experience with McMaster’s Midwifery Education Program and published a thesis on planned home versus hospital birth in Ontario. Dr. Cappelletti is fluent in French and Italian. She enjoys being active, attending live concerts, spending time outdoors and escaping into a good book.

Dr. Alison MacTavish is a family doctor who delivers babies, practicing in Niagara for 25 years. She graduated from the University of Calgary medical school and Family Medicine residency program (both while pregnant). Obstetrics and comprehensive Family Medicine has always been a passion of hers. It has been a privilege to deliver several generations of babies to families in her practice and she is proud to be a part of three generations of doctors delivering babies in Niagara. Dr. MacTavish is on the intrapartum committee at St Catharines Hospital. She teaches medical stuents and resident doctors and you can choose to help these learners become comprehensiv, caring physicians by allowing them to be a part of your pregnancy journey. She believes that having babies is one of the greatest joys in life and has enjoyed raising 4 children. “It takes a village to raise a child and it takes a team to help you have the best pregnancy outcome possible”. In her free time, Dr. MacTavish enjoys travel, skiing, reading, and spending time with family.


Dr. Heather Wilkie graduated from University of Toronto medical school and completed her Family Medicine training at McMaster. She did an advanced skills fellowship in Obstetrics and Women's Health through the University of Western Ontario. Dr. Wilkie has been providing obstetrical care at St. Joseph's Hospital in Hamilton since 2017 where she was involved in teaching medical students and residents through the Department of Family Medicine of McMaster University . She has moved her practice to the Niagara area in 2021 and is looking forward to providing family medicine obstetrical care closer to home. Dr. Wilkie enjoys spending time with family, skiing, reading a good book and running, but these days most of her running is chasing after her two young kids who definitely keep her on her toes. Dr. Wilkie feels that pregnancy and the newborn stage is an incredibly special time for families and she has always felt honoured to be a part of it, offer support and provide care to women and their families as they embark on this amazing journey.
